My name's Samia. I consider myself to be a caring, energetic, responsible, positive and fun person. I was an aupair in Chicago, IL, USA for 2 years (2 children, ages 1 to 8 years old). The years I worked as an au pair in Chicago were, hands down, two of the best years of my life. I had an amazing experience. I truly love working with little kids and I feel like I have so much to share and learn with them. I've worked at public pre-schools in Brazil (children ages 2 to 5 years old), which was great for me to understand the dynamics of working with many children at the same time. I currently work with 2 little girls part time in Courtenay. Therefore, I have experience with children of different age groups and different backgrounds. I can easily attend to more than one child at the same time and prepare activities according to their ages. I enjoy working with kids. Activities I've done with my kids include: crafting, baking, thematic cards and little celebrations (mother's day, thanksgiving, tea parties, etc), picnics at the park, teaching kids how to roller-blade, ride a bike, sliding in the winter, drawing/looking at maps and learning about different countries, etc. I've also introduced both Spanish and Portuguese to young learners and worked as a tutor for 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders. I'm a very neat, organized, responsible, enthusiastic and energetic person. I'll clean up after the children and engage them.
