Dear family,

My name is Charlotte, I'm 28 years old and am originally from Germany.
I came to Vancouver as a live-in caregiver 5 years ago. I worked full-time for a family with two toddlers (1,5 & 3,5 years old) for 2,5 years. After that I worked for 2 years as a full-time nanny for a family with a 3,5 year old girl.
And for 6 months I looked after a 9 months old boy, we sadly had to part after the family experienced financial difficulties. At the moment I'm taking care of a 15months old boy, he starts full-time day care mid-September.

In my work as a nanny I put lots of value in love and connecting with children, I treat them as the wonderful little people they are, with their own personality and ability to make their own, age appropriate, choices.

I studied occupational therapy in Germany and am working on my Canadian license. My education as an Occupational Therapist helps me to add on to my natural instinct in raising children, it gives me solid knowledge of how children develop throughout the ages, physically and mentally.

Things recent employers valued about my work with children is that I am very outdoorsy, I don’t mind the rain and try to always have an activity planned outside! I am enjoying arts and crafts with children a lot; I find it is such a wonderful way for them to discover their own abilities and encourage them to use their imagination.

I am open to do light household chores or running errands, I also supported previous employers with dinner preparation before.
