About Me
My name is Lisa and I am currently a Neuroscience student at McGill University. My passion is figure skating, which I have been doing for 13 years. I started when I was 6 years old, and skated competitively for 11 years before taking a year off after high school to perform professionally. on cruise ships. Skating has been a huge part of my life, and has taught me important life lessons that have brought me to where I am today. In 9th grade, I moved away from home to pursue my skating career. I was part of the sports program at Sentinel Secondary School and trained 25 hours a week. Being away from home and juggling school with skating taught me how to care for myself, manage time, and dedicate myself to something that I am passionate about. I am emergency first aid certified and a certified NCCP Level 2 coach in figure skating. I have been teaching children how to skate for three years, which has further developed my love for working with kids. For two summers, I ran a day camp for the kids at the Vancouver Skating Club, where I was responsible for the children during and after their day of training. I am available occasionally in May, and full time starting July through to the end of August. Please feel free to contact me Thank you for your interest.
