I have worked with and cared for children for over 12 years in many different roles, including as a baby sitter, play worker, learning support assistant, and educational and child psychologist. I love spending time with children, enjoying the opportunity to see the world through their eyes and take joy in everyday activities. In my work with children, I adopt a child-centred approach by listening to their thoughts and ideas and allowing them to guide the play. I am very creative and enjoy engaging in a range of activities including drawing, imaginary play, sports/active play, reading and board games. As well as allowing children to take charge in exploring and playing, I understand the importance of clear boundaries and consistency in ensuring that children are safe and feel cared for.

I have lots of experience of working with children with special needs including Autism, Leaning Disabilities and mental health concerns.

I am looking for opportunities to babysit while I await my registration as a psychologist, following my move to Vancouver from the UK.
