I am a 22 year old female who currently resides in Oakville (Third Line & Upper Middle). During the spring of 2012, I graduated from the University of Ontario Institute of Technology, where I received a BA in Criminology and Justice, with a specialization in Youth Crime and Justice. During my studies, I have developed an immense passion to work with youth, and am hoping to return to school in a couple of years to receive my master's degree. I am therefore in search of a babysitting position to help me save money to achieve my goals and to also gain experience working with children. I have an abundance of experience working with children. During the summer of 2011, I worked at Glenashton Day Care, where I taught and supervised children from ages 9 months to 9 years old. My duties included preparing the children for their daily activities, such as applying sunscreen and outdoor clothing, and arranging, coordinating, and managing a variety of activities. I also assisted with the daily routines, which consisted of going to the washroom, washing hands, eating, napping, and ensuring all were consistently accounted for. During this position, I furthermore gained an abundance of experience in conflict resolution, and also in the cognitive and motor development of children. Prior to this experience, I have also had various babysitting and nanny positions involving families and my previous church, which I have been pursuing since I was 13. I am a very caring and responsible person, and will cater to the needs and development of your children. I also make sure to plan activities that will bring out the most in both myself and the children, which will ensure that the children are enjoying themselves and having fun, as that is essential to this line of employment.
