About Me
To the families who need a sitter, my name is Emma, a third year Psychology student at Saint Mary's University, and I am available for part time babysitting weekends and most weekdays! I have a great understanding of disabilities and particular behaviours of young children, I am well educated and have medical training as well! I am a responsible 20 year old who doesn't smoke or drink, I am a very quick learner and childcare is almost a specialty of mine at this point. I am not currently babysitting for anyone, nor have I done so for anyone in the Halifax area (I moved here from the South Shore of Nova Scotia), but only because I have been busy with my education. Now that I have some spare time, I would like to offer my help to any parents in need of a part time sitter! I have been babysitting children since I turned 13, with courses on how to deal with children (behavioural issues, for example) and in cases of injury. I am well-rounded and prepared to deal with any kind of child, with almost any disability or problem (once again, ex; behavioural) I am very good at keeping to schedules and routine, so if there is something specific I should be doing, just tell me! I have class four days a week, but the hours vary; On Mondays and Wednesdays I am done by 2:15, Tuesdays by 9:30 PM and Thursdays by 5:15. I also work every morning before class and on weekends (7am-9am) and on Fridays from 8am-5 (depending on what you are looking for, this could be changed). On Saturdays and Sundays I am available from 9:30 am onwards, and am willing to do nightshift as well, depending on the day. If you have any questions about my schedule, feel free to email/message me just for that purpose, thanks!
