Hello there,
My name is Courtney and I am a newcomer to Montreal. I was born and raised in Newfoundland. I have a small family that I am very close with, although they are all out east. I am living here with a small dog, doing some freelance photography. I really enjoy the outdoors - hiking, swimming, walks in the park, and cycling (although I don't have a bicycle here yet. ). I also enjoy baking, crafts, and currently taking in all the french that I can. I do speak/write french, and am working to get my language level back to what it was when I lived in France several years ago.
I really enjoy spending time with the children in my family and friend circles and I feel that I would make a lovely Nanny in that sense. I am always doing something creative or fun and I think children enjoy when they can have fun with a caregiver. I also think it's important to set a good example and to be a role model in the child's life, especially if the job requires spending a great deal of time with them.
As far as caregiving goes, I feel I would be suited to this job as I have a great attention to detail, a very caring and compassionate demeanour, and am very energetic. I think it's important to be of good company to the person in your care, and to be humble and on the level of the person that requires your assistance. I feel that caregiving would be a very rewarding position that I would very much like to be a part of.
I am a very eager and willing to learn individual, and I think that regardless of what position I should be placed in, I would give it equally my best effort to be of great service. I think having a positive attitude at the beginning of each work day makes all the difference in how much difference you make in somebody else's life.
