    I am an individual who has devoted the last 8 years of my life towards a career working with children. Throughout my life I have played high levels of competitive soccer and cross-country, winning two provincial titles in both sports. I have been volunteering in both different classrooms and grades since 2008 and am extremely passionate about working with children and youth. Over the years due to my experience, I have had ample opportunity to understand the necessity of creating genuine relationships with students. These skills ultimately help promote a positive learning environment. My passion for education encouraged me to attain a Bachelor of Education Degree where I am certified to teach students ages 5-12. My personal teaching philosophy is the Reggio Emilia Approach which is firmly grounded in the belief of outdoor education. I believe the environment to be a detrimental aspect to children learning, as well the inclusion of kinesthetic activities.
