About Me
After completing my consolidation as a Practical Nurse Student St. Joseph’s West 5th Campus on the Acute Mental Health Unit, with many different patients. I have also worked at Joseph Brant Hospital on the day surgery unit as a student, Wentworth Lodge Long Term Care Home and at Juravinski Hospital Hamilton.
I have recently worked at the YMCA as an educator and camp councilor for children in local communities, I learned the importance of communication between team members. Not only were daily reports and documentations made, but site supervisors, parents and senior staff met as well to discuss the progress and how improvements can be made to programs we were developing.
Through my years working and volunteering, I have demonstrated my capabilities in both interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. While doing my consolidation at St. Joseph’s in Orchard 1 as a PN, I ensured the care of full patient load. This could only be made possible by being thoroughly organized and focusing my energy on wanting the to provide optimal and exceptional care to all those in the unit. Previously I also did an internship at Jurvanski Hospital, where I provided emotional and psychological support for those on end-of-life care. As well, I helped patients with dementia communicate with friends and family.
