I feel like I would be a great fit for your family because of my experience in the social services field and my background in child psychology. While finishing my Bachelor’s degree I completed my thesis on Relapse Prevention and had the opportunity to present at the Learning Connections Conference at the St. Lawrence College. In the past I was employed as a Camp Counsellor at Peace Keeper Park where I was responsible for supervising children with developmental disabilities and organizing crafts/activities to not only entertain but to help develop cognitive and motor skills. I also had a similar role at Community Living in Elgin County where I was employed as a Community Outreach Worker. While completing my education, I performed placements at various clinics and participated in therapy sessions for Native American youth struggling with mental illness. I gained experience in completing reports through performing assessments at the Hotel Dieu Detox Centre. I also completed placements at various school locations in Kingston; one in particular that I greatly enjoyed was at St. Paul’s Catholic School where I was assigned a learning disabled student and I developed a lesson plan to help her with her education. Based on these experiences and my education I feel like I would be a great asset to your family and would contribute much to your children's growth.
