About Me
I am originally from Peterborough, Ontario where I grew up with my parents and a younger sister. I was my high school class president, honour roll as well as an athlete (rowing, rugby, Nordic skiing, badminton and lacrosse). I was fortunate enough to take piano and swimming lessons, leading to my completion of the National Lifesaving Society's lifeguard program.
During my summers, I went to summer camps and learned how to take long and difficult canoe trips. It was a great opportunity to learn about the ecosystems around me, to this day I have a great love for outdoor adventures. I also spent a lot of time at my Grandparent's cattle farm with my cousins, learning about agriculture.
I attended McGill University from 2010 - 2014 and completed a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Planning and Environmental Sciences. Currently, I am working as a part-time receptionist with the university and enjoying my time living in Montreal. During my undergrad degree, I worked at the campus bookstore and volunteered my time with Relay for Life and the Arts Undergraduate Society. In the summers, I returned back to Peterborough to work as a Natural Heritage Educator (a fancy way to say Park Ranger). I was fortunate enough to work there for 3 summers giving tours and working with children to educate them about the wildlife in the park as well as First Nations culture.
I was recently accepted into a Master's Program for Environmental Impact Assessment at Concordia University. In the meantime, I fill my days with podcasts, biking around the city, trying new restaurants and making travel plans.
I am organized, responsible and I have a great sense of humor. Working with children is one of my passions and all my past work as a babysitter would make me a perfect candidate. I speak both French and English fluently and I possess a full Ontario drivers license. I have taken a babysitters course as well as CPR. I also love animals.- Education: Undergraduate degree
