Hi, My name is Jackie. I have many years babysitting experience (approx. 8 years). I have always loved looking after children! Starting when I was young, my mother used to run an in-home daycare, which I helped out in. Afterwards, I was able to start babysitting young as I knew so many children from the daycare. I was frequently referred to their friends, and soon I was babysitting almost every night and some weekends too. I have completed the babysitting course, Food Safe, First Aid, CPR, and Behaviour Therapist certification for working with special needs children. I also speak both English and French fluently, which I would be happy to teach! During high school I became a certified behaviour therapist (or behaviour interventionist) to tutor a young autistic boy after completing a training course and working hands-on with his previous therapist. On spring break I taught field hockey camp to a group of eager boys and girls. The next two summers I volunteered as a field hockey coach again for 3 different teams. I also tutored French Immersion high school students after being referred by my teachers. The summer after graduation, I worked at a childrens water park on Granvile Island as a lifeguard. Throughout the years I have been nannying, part-time which then lead to full-time. I couldnt think of a better way that I would love to spend my days!
