Hello Family
My name is Julie. I was born in Vancouver, BC but since my father was in the Royal Canadian Air Force, my family moved every four years. I have lived on military bases in BC, Alberta and Germany. My brother, and sisters and I enjoyed traveling around Europe with my parents for summer adventures. We lived in a small town in Ontario until my father's retirement from the Armed Forces and our return to BC. I also lived on the beautiful island of Maui where I started my career as a nanny.
I am a young at heart mother of three grown children. I currently live with my daughter and our horses and dogs. We like a relaxed, casual lifestyle and having fun outdoors.
I like meeting new people and interacting with children of all ages. I enjoy watching them learn and discover new things. My experience with my own children’s special needs and unique learning styles in Public School, as well as Homeschool has taught me the value of an education program based on each individual child’s ability.
I believe a positive attitude and cheerful outlook helps to create harmony and mutual respect to work and grow in partnership with families. I strive to establish a safe, fun and nurturing environment for children to explore and learn. My ability to engage various age groups and work cooperatively with parents and teachers provides a supportive and caring atmosphere for each child in my care.
I enjoy working as a nanny because it provides me with many opportunities to meet and work with children and families.
