I have been working as an LPN in homecare for the last 2 years with a variety of people. I love the work, I enjoy getting to know people, helping with daily activities and feeling like I have made a difference in somone's life. I am a single parent of a 4 year old son who is my whole world. On my days off I enjoy taking him out and exploring new corners of the city or visiting the zoo or going out to a provincial park. He loves being in nature and playing sports and I do what I can to support him. In my free time I enjoy watching movies, reading, crochet, gardening and keeping a clean home. I spend time with my friends and family whenever I can. I have a great grandmother who lives just outside of town with her daughter. I will often go out and spend time with her to give my grandmother a break. Which she very much appreciates. I enjoy cooking, I did it professionally for 14 years, but now I simply just get to have fun with it. My son is very open to new foods (as long as they're not spicy) so I get to try all kinds of new things. I also worked for a short time as a housekeeper in a hotel which I really enjoyed. I have always kept a clean home and have a keen eye for it. My parents are urban farmers and have a large greenhouse in there backyard. I enjoy going out and weeding and tasting and learning about the different illnesses a plant can get and how to fix it. Then of course I love to cook with the fresh produce. All in all, I have had a lot of experiences in my life that have made me a very capable, caring and kind nurse and person.
