About Me
My name is Rachel and I am a 27-year-old professional living in Kitsilano. I grew up surrounded by animals both on farms and as pets in rural New Brunswick and have grown up surrounded by cats and dogs since I was born. My father is a dog trainer, and when I moved to the far North three years ago I received the nickname of "Dog Whisperer" because of my love for all of the dogs that roamed throughout our community. Last year, I adopted and rehabilitated an Alaskan Husky cross who has since become my other half. Her name is Pixie and training her was one of the most rewarding experiences I've had! I recently moved to Vancouver to pursue my Master's of Education at UBC, and my parents are caring for her as I continue to seek housing that is both affordable and dog friendly.
I am available to sit small pets (fish, rodents, etc.) in my own home, as well as cats, dogs and other larger pets in their homes. I can make 1-2 home visits per day and provide overnight stays. I can also offer dog-walking and if you have chickens or other pets who need to be fed, have eggs collected, etc. I am more than happy to get my hands dirty and help you out with that, too!
