Dear Family;
My name is Claudia Cucul de, I am 37 years old.. I was born in Guatemala Central America but when I was 2 years old my family moved to Belize because my dad was a missionary and he was ask to preach in Belize, I grew up in a Christian home, in a large family as I have 16 siblings. my mom had three pair of twins so I grew up among alot of children and helped take care of the youngest. When I was 18 years old I moved back to Guatemala and there I lived for 17 years till I moved here to Calgary Alberta in March 2014. I speak, English, Spanish, Creole and a Mayan Language (QEQCHI), I learned to speak English and Creole in Belize and Mayan QEQCHI in a Community that we lived for a couple of years. I love traveling but I havent had the oppotunity to, but did traveled alot from Guatemala to Belize.
I started to babysit when I was 14 years old, coming from a large family I worked to finish school, I was babysitter for an American family that lived in Belize for 5 years, during that time they had two babies adding to their other three older ones ages 10, 8 and 3. I learn to make their bottles, bathing them, put them in for nap, play with them, change diapers. I have three boys of my own, ages 16, 12 and 9. In Guatemala I worked for a Foundation for Children and Aging, I worked as interpreter, worked with children ages, 3 to 17 years old, I helped write their letters to their sponsors, tutoring, arts, crafts, helped with their homework, I worked for this foundation for 11 years and I left because I moved back to Belize for a couple of months. I have taken first aid courses in guatemala and was part of the first response at a mine company that I use to work for in 2008 as Administrative assistant for Health and Safety department where I was also a First Aid instructor. In June 2014 I also took Standard Child Care First Aid CPR/AED Level B with Canadian Red Cross here in Calgary Alberta. I have Permanet Residency and social Insurance number.
I am a very caring and soft spoken person. I love children and enjoy their company immensely and find nothing is more rewarding than taking care of them. I believe in creating a positive, happy environment for children, one in which they feel protected and can thrive. I have good organizational and communication skills, which I believe are among the most important skills for a nanny. I do not mind also doing extra duties for you. I am deeply interested in working for you, and hope you will give me a chance to meet you in person to discuss my candidacy in detail.
