Hello, my name is Chelsea and I am 22 years old. I absolutely adore children and would love the opportunity to work with them and get to know them as individuals. I am very patient and understanding. I grew up with a little brother who is 7 years younger than I am so I was lucky enough to have the opportunities to learn how to work with children from a young age. I have a very outgoing personality, I love being active and spending time outdoors and also enjoy planning activities that would be appealing to children.
Here is some history about my education and past work experiences:
I have a college diploma as a Developmental Services Worker and have had the opportunity to have field placements in school settings as well as group home settings where I worked with adults and children with developmental disabilities. In those placement I was required to do some meal prep, plan daily activities with clients, assist with hygiene routines, as well as some house work. I also worked with some clients with physical disabilities and have knowledge in some transferring aids and machines for clients in wheels chair. After graduation I worked at an agency called Carefor: Inner City Health, where I worked with individuals with multiple mental health disorders and some with physical disabilities. I was in charge of medication administration and providing support to my clients during my work shift (hygiene routines, reminders to keep proper sleep schedules, appointment reminders, etc).
