Hi.
My name is Sarah and I am an enthusiastic 26 year old Teacher looking for summer work employment. I have a wide range of experience working with children of all ages.
I have always enjoyed working with children and have spent the last ten years building my resume. in preparation for a career as a teacher. Throughout High School and University I had the opportunity to work as a camp counselor and lifeguard at a Sports Camp in Sundridge Ontario. Throughout the summer months I provided 24 hour care to campers of all ages, taught swimming and kayaking lessons and played a vital role in the leadership aspect of the camp. While at camp I also had the unique opportunity to work with children with special needs such as hearing impairment, Autism, Down syndrome and motor impairments that have encouraged me to pursue a career in Special Education.
Since High School I have also worked as a babysitter to a number of families in the Halton area and have experience working with infants to pre-teen youth. Having access to my own vehicle I was able to plan day trips to local parks and festivals, drop and pick up children at various pre-planned activities and run errands for families.
Over the past year I have been working as a Grade Four Teacher for Halton District School Board, where I teach a variety of subjects including Health and Physical Education, drama, literacy and numeracy. In the past I have taught Kindergarten to Grade 5 physical education.
I feel confident that my high level of energy, creativity and genuine love for children would make me a valuable candidate for your family Nanny. I am looking forward to hearing from you and your families.
