My name is Maria and I am 22 years old. I grew up in a large family, close with extended family and have been around children my entire life. I began babysitting when I was 12 and have looked after many children of all ages on and off over the last 10 years, including family and not. both casually and as a nanny. I aspire to be a pediatric nurse and I have completed 2 of 4 years of my nursing degree, but have taken a break to be with my son. He is currently 21 months and at home with me, so I am looking for a family who will welcome my son and I into their home to look after their children. I am passionate about child development and working with children to learn and grow in a fun and healthy environment.
I enjoy cooking and frequently spend time in the kitchen with my son, preparing meals and baked goods. We often spend time at the Early Years Centre and Library, taking advantage of their drop in spaces as well as registered programs and would be more than happy to take your children to age appropriate programs. I enjoy preparing crafts and activities that foster creativity while providing an opportunity for children to learn. I love to have fun and be silly with kids. Run around, sing songs and do rhymes, and sit down to read books and take time to bond together.
