I have been babysitting and tutoring children for 5 years, and never once had a complaint. I have always had a special bond with children, which others notice right away. I grew up with two younger sisters and several cousins who I was called on to watch and entertain on a regular basis, and I always looked forward to it.
At churches and other groups, I was trusted and known to be good with children and infants. I tend to be able to keep children occupied for a long time, and when they get fussy I can get them to calm down and either return to playing or sleep quickly. Babies too feel my calm energy and settle down before long, unless a stomachache or similar ailment is the issue.
I am outgoing, but most of my interests are quiet, indoor type activities. I love puzzles and board games, crochet/knitting, reading, writing fiction, building Lego models, cooking, artwork, and so on. Children are often attracted to me on the sole basis that I am perfectly happy and comfortable playing on the floor for hours, just like them. I relate especially well to children between infancy and 12 years old, but even children in their early teens are drawn to me as a "big sister" figure and will share their daily ups and downs.
