About Me
Coming from a big matriarchal family, taking care of the young is something I learned to enjoy doing. I took care of my nephews when they were 1 and 5 as my first job in my teens, although I had done it earlier unofficially. Currently, I am an undergraduate student at Concordia University in Urban Planning where human geography and landscape ecology are some of my favourite subjects. I am also engaged in civic activities that include municipal politics, fundraisers, community service, among other things. My main area of experience is in communications, but I am looking for something closer to home this summer--not literally. Taking care of children has always been something I enjoy and would like to get back into it. I am a painter, sculptor, performance artist, community television producer, journalist, blogger, and puppeteer as hobby, attributes that can be more than useful when it comes to keeping children busy. Moreover, I speak Spanish as my first language, so if you would like your kid(s) to learn it that could also be arranged. Aside from that I am an easy going person, empathetic, and responsible (very important). Children tend to like me immediately. I also enjoy the outdoors, storytelling, and taught young children drawing lessons in a camp two summers ago in Mexico.
