Hi! My name is Kiana and I recently moved to Vancouver from Brandon, Manitoba. I am 18 years old and just graduated from the Comprehensive Health Care Aide program at Assiniboine Community College in Brandon. I have worked as a lifeguard and swimming instructor at the Brandon Family YMCA for two years and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have been caring for children my whole life as I come from a big family and have four younger siblings! I started babysitting for other families when I was twelve and have never stopped, I have experience caring for children of all ages and am comfortable caring for many children at a time. As a caregiver I feel that it is important to provide a safe, nurturing environment for children to learn and grow in. I do this by always giving children my undivided attention and planning activities that allow us to play and learn together such as bike rides and picnics, baking and crafting. I also understand the importance of maintaining a clean and functional household and always include housekeeping duties such as laundry, dishes and tidying play rooms throughout the day.
