Hi, I am Mel (Melissa) and have recently arrived in Canada on a two year working holiday visa and am really looking forward to exploring this wonderful country! I am currently working at Big White Ski Resort for the 2016/2017 ski season and am looking for the next adventure!

I grew up in a large, inland city in Australia called Toowoomba. After graduating university with a degree in Early Childhood Education, I moved to Sydney where I worked as a live out nanny. I had sole charge of two little munchkins who were 6 months old when I started and 2 when I finished. I also worked in a childcare centre and as a babysitter while living there. Before moving to Sydney, I lived in France for a year in 2007 where I worked as an au pair and in 2010 I enjoyed a summer camp in the USA. In Toowoomba I also nannied, worked in childcare centres, coached gymnastics and worked at after school/vacation care.

In 2013 I was lucky enough to be offered a position with Disney Cruise Line as part of their Youth Activities team and worked 3 wonderful contracts in the nursery on both the Disney Fantasy and the Disney Wonder. At the end of 2014 I moved to England. While living in Manchester, I worked in a childcare centre, based mainly in the 16month - 2 year old room but also in the babies, 2-3 year old and 3-5 year old rooms as required.

In my free time I enjoy baking, reading, photography, Latin American and Ballroom dance (or any type of dance class really!), adult gymnastics, exercise, musicals, shows, spending time with friends and just getting out to explore where I am living!
