My name is Laura and I am 22 years old. I am originally from Dublin, Ireland. I have obtained a Bachelor of Honours degree on Early Childhood Education from Dublin Institute of Technology. I graduated in May 2013. I love working with and teaching children. It is all I have ever wanted to do. I am a very caring, friendly and compassionate person. I have great patience with children and I understand that all children have there own unique personalities and developmental level and I love to be there to nourish children's personalities and watch them grow. I have come to Canada on a working visa in the hope of finding a nice family to nanny for. I am a qualified Childcare Practitioner and have spent the last year in Ireland working in an excellent crèche. I taught and looked after children between the ages of 1 and half to three. I absolutely loved this job and leaving this job and the children I taught was he hardest part about coming to Canada. In my job I taught and cared for the children in my class. I would carry out observations for their development and I would plan developmentally appropriate activities for the children. I would do arts and crafts, drama and sing-songs, messy play, free play as outdoor play with the children. During my career as a Childcare Practitioner I have worked with children between the ages of 4 months to 10 years. Furthermore, I have worked in a variety of different Early Years settings. I have worked in two disadvantaged areas in community settings in Dublin, Ireland and gained a lot of experience teaching these children. I really love working with children, teaching them, building a relationship with them and watching them grow and flourish with confidence. During my college course I studied child development, child psychology, social theory, outdoor play, health, art and drama. My hobbies that I like to do into spare time include reading, tennis, cooking, watching movies swimming and just hanging out with my friends. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
