Hello families.
My name is Emma, and working with children is one of my passions. My educational background is in History (B. A, UWO) and publishing (Ryerson), but a great deal of my professional background has been in childcare and education.
For three years following my degree, I worked as a teacher in elementary school, middle school, and high school, in Bogota, Colombia. Upon my return to Canada, I was a nanny/babysitter for a seven year old boy, and I worked at the London and Regional Children’s Museum as a Visitor Experience Animator.
I am active, energetic, imaginative, caring, fair, and resourceful person. I firmly believe in the power of play--on both learning and development-- and when combined with nature, I believe the human spirit flourishes. I love to play sports, to hike, to swim, to travel, to scrapbook/craft, and to spend time outdoors. I am an avid reader and I enjoy writing, listening to music, and spending time with my family and friends. On rainy days, I love to play board games, to write short stories, to visit the museum, and to bake.
