Hey! My name is Kyle & I am a Child and Youth Studies as well as a Sociology Honours student at Carleton University. My passion for children, development and leadership has led me to pursuing work and volunteer experience with children of all ages while providing them with as much opportunity as possible in the process.
Children are the world's future, we must start taking action in order to ensure that each and every child is given an equal opportunity to develop, live a healthy active lifestyle, and succeed in anything they choose to pursue. I am a firm believer in equal opportunity and choice.

I have plenty of experience working with children and youth, including acting as a ECA (early childhood teachers assistant) at a daycare, being a sports and skills coach for youth baseball teams for over 8 years, babysitting and caregiving for children anywhere from infancy to adolescence, and volunteering for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Ottawa, Boys and Girls Club, and the Door, a youth center located in Centretown. At all 3 places I have taken the role as a youth mentor, leading and providing healthy active living and appropriate development pathways based on nutrition, academics, athletics, and the arts. When taking this role, I see myself as more of friend and someone the child can talk to or seek help/advice in.

By the way, I am certified in first aid and CPR level C, (infants, children, and adults) hold a current vulnerable sector police records, updated as of late December 2016, and am currently taking a break from full-time school classes, only studying part-time and have almost completed my two Bachelor of Art's Degree's.
